You will create a whistle that actually makes sound!

Step 1: Find your inspiration

What do you want your pinch pot whistle to look like?

Is it something that you like to eat? Is it your favorite animal? Is it something that is completely made up?

What kind of details will you add to it?

Will the details be made with a slab or a coil?

Step 2: Give your inspiration life
-
Draw two thumbnail designs of what your pinch pot might look like.

Think about the details!

Please add color the way you want with colored pencils as this will be painted and not glazed.

Step 3: Setting up your whistle
-
You will need a pinch pot, a small slab, and a popsicle stick.
-
I will help get these together correctly.

Step 4: Assembling your whistle
-
Once your whistle base is complete, begin creating other details using slabs, coils, and or slip.

You can create all details and then attach or you can attach as you go.

We will need to make holes to put opposite of the popsicle stick for the whistle to make noise.
Step 5: Making the whistle blade
-
Pinch Pot Whistle will be at leatherhard plasticity when blade is cut.
-
I will help with this process!

Step 6: Painting with Acrylic Paint or Watercolor (stain)
-
After whistle has been bisque fired it will be painted with acrylic paint or watercolor.

If we use the glaze it might mess with how the whistle blade works.

Step 7: Fill out Rubric and Answer Reflection Questions
